Cultivate a wide awareness of environmental elements such as climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, and natural resources. Investigate how they affect product, image, infrastructure, and environmental design. Explore the social and cultural components of design, such as the history of created objects and socially responsible, ecologically sustainable design solutions, as well as the history of art, sculpture, and literature.

Ability to look at information, be it qualitative or quantitative in nature, and discern patterns within the information. Ability to weigh opinions, arguments or solutions against appropriate criteria. Ability to check for hidden bias or hidden assumptions and whether evidence and argument support conclusions.
